It's another journey to begin.

The Music Within the Soul…

Is it possible for an illiterate person to compose excellent songs? First thing that would come to your mind would be a big NO. It’s not possible. The person’s illiterate. S/he can’t read. S/he can’t write either. So how is it possible for that person to compose songs.

Believe it or not, a person was able to compose wondrous songs even if he doesn’t know how to read and write. His name is George Canseco. George Canseco  had no formal training in Music. Most of his song compositions won awards. This is what you call talent.

His award-winning songs include Ngayon at Kailanman, Dapat ka bang Mahalin, Gaano Kadalas ang Minsan and Paano ba ang Mangarap.

In my opinion, Mr. Canseco is a talented person. Even if he did not study literature, his songs were full of inspiring quotes that would look like a professional did it. No wonder Ogie Alcasid made a tribute for him.
